At AND Digital, we operate with a unique model of regional offices—known as our 'Clubs'—that foster strong relationships with our clients. This structure enables us to always prioritize our partners with teams located in close proximity, ensuring we deliver the highest quality of service. Our focus on collaboration and client success has contributed to our impressive growth since 2014, and we now employ over 1,300 people across the UK, Europe, and the USA. We have exciting plans for global expansion in the coming years, and we want you to be part of this journey as a Senior Cloud Engineer.

What We Need From You: Skills and Experience

As a Senior Cloud Engineer at AND Digital, you will be a key player in building scalable cloud solutions that solve complex problems for our clients. Your technical expertise and leadership abilities will be central to the success of client projects and the broader AND Digital team. We’re looking for an engineer who thrives in both technical execution and mentoring others. Here’s what you’ll bring to the table:

Core Responsibilities:

  • Cloud Expertise: You should have solid experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure, and be open to learning other platforms as needed. You’ll leverage your knowledge to build and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Puppet, and Ansible.
  • DevOps Mindset: Your role will require you to embed Cloud & DevOps best practices and standards into client projects. You’ll be comfortable discussing the commercial benefits of cloud technology while also diving deep into platform configurations to troubleshoot issues and optimize performance.
  • Problem-Solving and Innovation: As an engineer, you’ll be expected to scan the horizon for new technology options and vendor products that can address our clients' challenges. Whether working on a brownfield platform or designing a greenfield cloud solution, you’ll apply your problem-solving skills to deliver innovative and scalable solutions.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: You will mentor junior engineers, advocate for upskilling, and help others within AND Digital grow their technical skills. Leading technical teams and fostering a collaborative environment will be a key part of your responsibilities.
  • Continuous Integration and Delivery: Having experience in leading or working in Continuous Integration (CI) or Continuous Delivery (CD) environments will be vital. You will apply your expertise in DevOps and platform engineering to ensure that clients receive seamless, efficient delivery pipelines.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Cloud Engineering: Extensive experience in cloud technologies, particularly Azure, with the ability to work across platforms as required.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency in IaC tools like Terraform, Puppet, and Ansible to automate and scale cloud infrastructure.
  • DevOps and Platform Engineering: A solid understanding of DevOps principles, including automated deployments, CI/CD, and cloud-based infrastructure management.
  • Leadership and Communication: Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, work with senior stakeholders, and effectively communicate both technical and business concepts.
