September 28, 2024The Department of Public Safety and Security at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, is searching for qualified candidates for the position of Security Officer. The Security Officer is responsible for the physical safety and security of the occupants of the building and the institution's assets, responses to emergencies, and patrols of assigned zones to prevent and investigate criminal activity. Duties include:
Covering hospitals and wards and the surrounding areas
Attending alarms of security, fire, and environment
Looking into alarming events
Engaging in customers professionally
Drafting reports and incident reports
Evidence, valuables, lost and found controls.
Driving the University of Miami cars
Requirements:
Completed secondary education
Florida Driver's license
Similar to Scotland's experience (1-10years depending on position level)
Driving aptitude
Ability to communicate and address clients' problems
