Cal State LA seeks a creative Graphic Designer II to work in the Office of Strategic Communications. What you'll do As a skilled graphic designer, you will conceptualize, design, and produce an array of print and multimedia materials such as printed materials, exhibits, training sessions, television broadcasts, videos, websites, and public information projects. This expertise will be used to communicate the university's message, within and outside it. Responsible for art direction and design of Cal State LA magazine, electronic newsletters, and templates for university-wide use to maintain brand standards. Assist in print specifications and quality control support social media operations, including for University Athletics; provide graphic design support.
The requirements for qualification are:
BSc in fine arts, graphic design, or related compound
• 2+ years of design + production experience minimum.•
Comprehensive understanding of graphic design principles, communication theory, and marketing concepts.
Excellent command of Adobe Creative Suite
— Knowledge of graphic art theory as it applies to reproduction and printing aspects of graphic design principles — Ability to plan, coordinate, and direct large-scale printing projects
Best teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in a multicultural and multiethnic work environment
Qualification Preferred:
– Working knowledge of university regulations and standards
