**Job Description**

Renesas Electronics Corporation is seeking skilled Senior Applications Engineers who are passionate about working with cutting-edge low jitter timing products. The Applications Engineering team plays a crucial role, collaborating closely with marketing, sales, design, and product engineering teams. This collaboration supports product definition, offers early-stage technical assistance during design, and ensures robust support throughout production. **Key Responsibilities:**

- Conduct lab bench testing on PCIe Gen5/6 DataCenter and Networking Timing Devices to ensure high performance and reliability.
- Engage in high-performance timing validation to uphold product excellence.
- Design, debug, and document evaluation boards and related software to facilitate testing and customer engagement.
- Provide experimental lab data to support marketing and sales initiatives for next-generation products.
- Offer prompt, insightful technical assistance to customers, ensuring their needs are met effectively.
- Assist in sales design-in efforts by delivering lab data on upcoming products, helping to secure design wins.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as required to support team and company objectives.

**Qualifications:**

- In-depth understanding of analog and mixed-signal circuits is essential.
- Familiarity with the fundamentals of phase locked loops (PLLs) is highly advantageous.
- Proficiency in Python coding is a must, enabling effective automation and data analysis.
- Experience with schematic capture tools like OrCAD and board layout tools such as Allegro is strongly preferred.
- Practical knowledge of laboratory instruments, including spectrum analyzers, sampling/real-time oscilloscopes, and frequency synthesizers, is required.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and debug systems, circuits, and devices is essential.
- Strong customer interface skills are critical, as building relationships and providing support is a key part of the role.

**Education:**

Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in a technology-related field or equivalent training, along with at least five years of relevant experience. An advanced degree may substitute for some years of experience.
